      Preparation Materials for Step 1

usmle tips Here I've compiled only the books that I had used.

Kaplan Notes On All Subjects--more than enough for a fair insight into the subject matter...But they are not good for long term retention as they are review notes and not conceptual ones..But best for those who have lesser time to prepare..!!Video lectures complement them interactivity wise and to a great extent understanding wise..so if possible combine both of them than reading the notes alone as they are not sufficient..!

Other books which are good concept building and understanding wise are as follows:
      Comprehensive:
      >Blackwell's Step 1 Underground Clinical Vignettes (Blackwell's Underground Clinical Vignettes)
      >Usmle Step 1 (Edward F. Goljan)
      Anatomy / Embriology
      >High-Yield Embryology
      >High-Yield Gross Anatomy
      >High-Yield Neuroanatomy
      Behavioral Sciences
      >Underground Clinical Vignettes
      >BRS Behavioral Sciences
      >High-Yield Behavioral Sciences
      High-Yield Biostatistics
      Biochemistry
      >Underground Clinical Vignettes
      >High-Yield Biochemistry
      >Biochemistry: Lippincott's Illustrated Reviews
      >Biochemistry Illustrated
      Microbiology
      >Underground Clinical Vignettes
      >Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple
      >Cases in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
      Pathology
      >BRS Pathology
      >Underground Clinical Vignettes
      >BrainChip for Pathology
      >Robbins Review of Pathology
      Pharmacology
      >Pharmacology: Lippincott's Illustrated Reviews
      >Pharmacology Recall
      Physiology
      >BRS Physiology

And again it depends upon your preparation, understanding and time you have for preparation which would be the determining factor for your choice of books..
